Dear Dr. Klingaman:

I am so very sorry the override question did not pass last week, and I cannot imagine the level of disappointment, frustration and anxiety that many DPS educators are experiencing today. The purpose of this letter is to affirm my support of the Duxbury school system and everyone in it who works tirelessly each day to provide excellent services for our students and families.

Teachers have a priceless gift that regular folks like myself will never have. I view the work of educators as a calling, and I am awestruck by the talent and the skills required to help children learn. But no amount of cheerleading from the sidelines changes the fact that our gifted educators will be confronted with serious headwinds next year: larger case loads and class sizes for some, and career uncertainty for others. Please know that I stand ready to help the members of this great team any way I can.
